Accessibility Statement

Organic Forward is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Measures We Take

  • Keyboard navigation -- all interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Press Tab to navigate, Enter or Space to activate controls. This is enforced automatically: a build that adds a control the keyboard cannot reach fails.
  • Skip navigation -- a “Skip to main content” link is provided for keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Color contrast -- our palette is designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). We do not yet verify this automatically on every page.
  • Screen reader support -- semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, labels and roles are used throughout to give assistive technologies context.
  • Reduced motion -- animations are disabled when the user has enabled “prefers-reduced-motion” in their operating system settings.
  • Focus indicators -- visible focus outlines are provided for all interactive elements during keyboard navigation.
  • Form accessibility -- every form input has an associated label, either visible or via screen-reader-only text. This is enforced automatically: a build that introduces an unlabelled input fails.
  • Image alternatives -- images include descriptive alt text. Purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies.

Known Limitations

  • Interactive map -- the MapLibre GL map may have limited screen reader support. All supplier data shown on the map is also available in the grid view and on individual listing pages.
  • Third-party content -- some third-party widgets (cookie consent, analytics) may not fully meet accessibility standards. We work with vendors to improve this.
